Hair and Beauty Australia (HBA) was formed on 13 September 2008, and is made up of the following associations representing the hair and beauty industry at state and territory levels:
- Hair and Beauty Australia – NSW / QLD Division
- Hair and Beauty Tasmania
- Hair and Beauty Employers Association (ACT)
- Queensland Master Hairdressers Union of Employers
- Hair & Beauty Industry Employers Association of South Australia Inc
- Master Ladies Hairdressers Association (Western Australia)
- Advanced Association of Beauty Therapists
HBA is the peak body representing the hair and beauty industry in Australia, and its primary responsibility is to lobby the Federal Government on issues that affect the industry at a national level.
Other activities of HBA include to create, develop and administer projects for the benefit of the hair and beauty industry, to assist the state / territory hair and beauty associations in promoting the industry at their respective levels, and to promote the interests of the hair and beauty industry nationally. |
